a few words from mandy

My artistic journey began with a National Diploma in Art and Design from Manchester Metropolitan University. From which I took a slight change of direction and ended up doing a Law Degree at the University of Birmingham and later an MSc in Civil Society Management.

Not your typical artist’s journey I know but jump forward a couple of decades, a bit of life experience and I am now delighted to be able to describe myself as a professional Illustrator by day and an artist by night.

My work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, including St Albans Museum, the Collective Gallery, St Pancras Hospital Conference Centre as well as pop up galleries in Fitzrovia, London. I have also painted several murals, the largest of which you can see on Drovers Way in St Albans.

I am inspired by nature, colour and I’m on a mission to reclaim the word “childish” as something that people should be proud to be called. I love letting my inner child play with a whole range of mediums including paint, paint pens, collage, resin as well as drawing digitally on my iPad.

I hope my work brings you joy.
