Mandy Johnson at The Breakfast Club | Herts Open Studios 2026

This September, I’ll be taking part in Herts Open Studios 2026 - a county-wide event running throughout September.

For three weeks, artists across Hertfordshire open their doors (or in my case… borrow some very nice walls for a whole month) to share their work, processes and creative spaces with the public. It’s a chance to meet artists, see how things are made and maybe even take a piece home with you.

For Open Studios, I’ll be exhibiting across the walls of The Breakfast Club—one of St Albans’ most loved spots. It’s the kind of place you can happily lose track of time, whether you’re visiting solo or catching up with friends—perfect for a relaxed breakfast, a mid-morning coffee (and cake, of course) or an unhurried lunch. Expect a cheerful blend of coffee, conversation and colour in a warm, welcoming setting.
