About the event
I’m delighted to be part of “Floral Stories”, a group exhibition bringing together five artists—Anne Macintyre, Becky Ullah, Irene Maye, myself, and Yoshie Allan—each offering a unique take on flowers.
From Anne’s beautifully composed photographs of homegrown British blooms (some even exhibited by the RHS at the Saatchi Gallery), to Becky’s striking paintings that blend realism with abstraction and a fascination with the hidden life of nature, the exhibition brings together a rich mix of styles and perspectives.
Irene’s lyrical, semi-abstract paintings explore the emotional power of nature—its ability to soothe, uplift and ground us—while Yoshie’s playful, mixed-media work draws on her background in fashion and her love of organic shapes to create colourful, poetic compositions.
As for me, I’ll be bringing my signature bold colours and playful approach—creating work that feels optimistic, welcoming and (hopefully) joy-sparking.
The exhibition takes place at 67 York Street Gallery in Marylebone—an independent, Scandi-inspired space…
